Activity 5: Further ICT Skills for Teachers

The purpose of this activity is to give you exposure to different scenarios in which teachers use a variety of applications and free resources. You may already know and use applications other than the word processor and spreadsheet, but explore the scenarios which appear under the headings of the roles of the educator. Some scenarios involve basic ICT skills and other are intermediate or advanced.

Self activity 5 - Exploring scenarios

In this activity you will access scenarios from an Open Education Resource called ICT Skills for Teachers, hosted online by SchoolNet SA and supported by Microsoft.

1. Click here to go to the ICT Skills for Teachers scenarios. Each scenario will link online.
   
2. Browse through the list and attempt to complete the scenarios that interest you. This activity is open ended and you can return here at any time, but try to attempt at least 3 different scenarios that interest you most.
   
3. If you get stuck at any point send email to your group explaining your problem and let's see if the group can help you solve it.
   
   Your tutor may also give assistance, but it is preferable that group members help each other, so if you see others asking for help and you are able to assist, do so.
